Employee wellness programs will continue to evolve. My hope is that there will be more attention given to employee wellness and that the stigma and discrimination around mental health challenges will dissipate. With the aim to have healthier, happier, and more productive employees, employers need to take an integrated approach with clear outcomes when it comes to addressing the health and well-being of employees.

If left unaddressed, challenges relating to employee mental health and wellbeing come with a heavy monetary cost. According to SADAG, it is estimated that work-related stress and major depression, burnout, and anxiety disorders cost the country’s economy over R40 billion a year. While the scale of the problem might seem insurmountable, our mission at Serenity Corporate Wellness is to work hand in hand with you to enable your employees to always thrive.

Our Story

Preventing, Addressing and Managing employee challenges in today’s ever dynamic workplace

Serenity Corporate Wellness started operating in 2015 with a focus on providing mental health services for individual clients and then later offering services to corporate clients following changes in the workplace that were expedited by COVID-19. We saw a gap in the market for Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) that are geared towards preventing, addressing and managing employee challenges in today’s ever-dynamic workplace.

Serenity Corporate Wellness Pty (Ltd) was originated to meet an ever-present need for affordable and quality wellness and counselling services in South Africa and beyond. We are a purpose-driven company that was founded by women and is currently managed by women. As a WeConnect-certified business, we are committed to diversity, equality, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) not only within our business but also to better serving our clients and their employees.

We see mental health and wellness as essential for businesses to help employees function successfully in their work and all other aspects of their lives. We believe that providing effective interventions is vital and relevant to all people. We strive to innovate and provide improvement in the utilisation of EAP offerings in the workplace.
