Serenity Corporate Wellness
Who We Are From Our MD
At Serenity, we believe the future of work—and of humanity—depends on how well we care for people today.
I founded Serenity Corporate Wellness in response to a truth I could no longer ignore: traditional wellness approaches weren’t working. They skimmed the surface while people quietly suffered beneath the weight of trauma, burnout, disconnection, and cultural misalignment. I knew we needed a new model—one that was not only clinically sound, but deeply human. One that understood the unseen layers of pain and the untapped potential within every employee.
Today, Serenity is a collective of highly skilled, trauma-informed, culturally attuned professionals who see the person behind the role, the story behind the performance. We are psychologists, social workers, strategists and other wellness practitioners—united by a shared purpose: to restore wholeness. Every member of our team understands that when we support one employee, we influence not only their wellbeing, but that of their team, their family, and by extension—the communities they touch. Wellness, when done right, ripples outward. And that ripple is what motivates us.
Executives often ask us what makes Serenity different. The answer is simple: we don’t treat wellness as a service. We treat it as a strategic lever. We integrate organisational health diagnostics, leadership development, trauma-informed interventions and high-touch support in a way that’s measurable, responsive, and built for long-term culture change. We’re not here for short-term optics—we’re here to help your organisation sustain wellbeing in ways that reduce risk, enhance performance, and align with the deeper humanity of your workforce.
With over 35,000 employees currently under our care—and growing—we’ve seen how meaningful our impact can be. We’ve witnessed shifts not only in absenteeism and engagement, but in trust, in leadership integrity, and in how teams relate to one another. This is the work we are called to do. And we would be honoured to bring it to your people, too.
Our Story — The Origin of Serenity
Serenity was born from a deeply human need—a need for spaces of care, healing, and restoration within the systems we work in every day.
Founded in 2015, Serenity began as a private mental health practice, supporting individuals navigating life’s challenges in silence. As the world shifted—most notably during and after COVID-19—we witnessed an urgent call within organisations: employees were burned out, overwhelmed, and under-supported. We saw the gap in traditional EAP models and knew that something more intentional, more human, and more holistic was required.
Serenity was created in response to that call.
We are a proudly women-founded and women-led company, WeConnect-certified, and deeply committed to building cultures of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. But at our core, Serenity exists to help organisations embed wellbeing into the very architecture of how they operate—restoring not just individuals, but cultures, systems, and trust.
Our approach is grounded in a simple truth: wellbeing is not a luxury—it is essential infrastructure for any high-performing, sustainable workplace. And true wellbeing is multifaceted. That is why our work spans the full spectrum of human needs, across the 8 Pillars of Wellbeing:
- Mental & Emotional Health
- Physical Health & Vitality
- Social Connection & Belonging
- Financial Wellbeing
- Occupational Support & Purpose
- Environmental Stability & Safety
- Intellectual Growth & Learning
- Spiritual & Cultural Grounding
Each pillar is reflected in the services we offer—from counselling, trauma response, and leadership coaching, to onsite wellness days, financial literacy workshops, digital tools, organisational diagnostics, and human capital strategy consulting. Whether we’re working with blue-collar teams or executive boards, our interventions are trauma-informed, culturally intelligent, and strategically aligned to your people and business goals.
Serenity Corporate Wellness is a registered member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association of South Africa (EAPA-SA), and currently supports over 35,000 employees across multiple industries. But more than the numbers, it’s the ripple effect that defines us: when one employee is truly supported, their team, their family, and their wider community are impacted. And in that ripple, we begin to heal not just workplaces, but the world.
